Shalisa Chamberlain is a pet Cannabis Specialist with an extensive background as a veterinary technician spanning over 25 years. She has collaborated with holistic veterinarians, general practices, emergency facilities, and specialty hospitals throughout the United States. This invaluable experience has given her a deep understanding of pet wellness. Devoted to lifelong learning she has earned her master’s certificate of completion in the clinical cannabinoid medicine program through The Medical Cannabis Institute. She is a member of the Society of Cannabis Clinicians, the Association of Cannabis Professionals, the Veterinary Cannabis Society, and Cal NORML. She is currently the founder and CEO of a veterinary-recommended, award-winning pet CBD brand Furry Faces.
With a personal healing journey with cannabis that encompassed healing both her own body and the treatment of her cherished canine companion, she firmly believes in the transformative potential of CBD in revolutionizing pet care. Inspired by this experience, she established her own CBD brand that has transformed the lives of numerous pets, promoting optimal health and natural healing. Her commitment to high-quality medical-grade CBD has been recognized and her brand is now on the veterinary recommend list of the Veterinary Cannabinoid Academy.
Throughout her personal journey, a particular concern deeply troubled her—the prevailing lack of education surrounding safe CBD products and the imperative to enhance industry standards within the realm of cannabis. Driven by this conviction, she has dedicated herself to bridging the divide between pet owners, the vast expanse of the internet, and knowledgeable veterinarians.

Pet Loss Grief Session Pricing (includes anticipatory grief):

- 4 session package for $840 ($40 savings)
- 8 session package for $1680 ($80 savings)
Grief is an experience that affects our mind, body, emotions and spirit, so I take a holistic approach with my work.
Clients work 1-1 with me to understand why their grief experience may feel so foreign, disorienting, overwhelming and isolating. All loss is registered in the body as a trauma to our system. The sessions build on one another as I teach nervous system regulation tools with an emphasis on self awareness and self compassion to navigate grief, guilt and trauma. You will be given customized exercises and things to “do” as you navigate your unique grief experience.
Private clients have access to my ongoing free monthly pet loss support group. (Two-session prerequisite).
Quality of Life Evaluation Pricing: $220/hr
“When to find the right time to say goodbye”
I help pet parents understand the nuances of building a detailed quality of life “road map” that is catered to their individual animal’s medical diagnoses and needs, along with the caregiver’s needs. (It’s much more than “they are no longer eating.”)
An excellent tool to help pet parents find the right timing for mindful transition and opens up meaningful conversation around end of life planning.
Great for getting all family members on the same page around the patient’s mortality and status.together, we build an individualized end of life map for their animals complete with what to expect, what signs to look for, bucket list ideas and more.
Animal Hospice Support : Support from Diagnosis to Transition: $220/hr
(Prerequisite: Quality of Life Evaluation)
- Includes the palliative/comfort care phase of supportive care (pre-hospice), which can last up to one year before the patient transitions into end-of-life hospice support.
- I answer medical questions, teach pet parents the language to use to advocate for their animal and work with their veterinary team.
- We use the Quality of Life Evaluation as a “road map” for decision making and markers of decline.
- Hospice phase often involves anticipatory grief and therefore some grief coaching may be offered.
Monthly Pet Loss Support Group for Private Clients
Free, ongoing, prerequisite is 2+ private sessions. Last Sunday of every month at 11 am via Zoom
Public Pet Loss Group
Open to the public, no pre-requisite, Monthly meeting, $20 to register, Zoom
Reiki For Humans and Animals: In-Person Only
- One hour $220 (human & bonded options)
- 30 min $100 (animal only)
Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing modality that promotes overall well-being, reduces stress, helps to remove blocked energy, assists grief and shadow work, and holistically supports the entire being. I am a Usui Reiki Master and have a beautiful in-person office space for Reiki sessions.
Reiki for animals is beneficial as stress relief, accelerates post surgical healing, and is a great option for hospice support. Most animals only tolerate 20-30 minutes of direct energy work.
I offer sessions in-person for humans (one hour), animals (20-30 min, based on their tolerance) and Human/animal bonded sessions (one hour).
